Bait treatment is the most targeted ant elimination method available — and the only way to truly eliminate species where workers share food with the queen. Slow-acting bait is placed along foraging trails; worker ants pick it up and carry it back to the nest, where it spreads through the colony and eventually reaches and eliminates the queens. This works where spray treatments fail because it targets the entire colony, not just the workers you can see.
